Fibroblast vs. Cold Plasma (T33): What's the Difference and Which One Is Right for You?
If you've been exploring non-surgical skin rejuvenation, you've probably come across two terms that sound similar but work very differently: fibroblast plasma and cold plasma. At Fibroplasma Beauty, we offer both — and understanding the distinction will help you know exactly what your skin needs.
The Short Answer
Both treatments use plasma energy. That's where the similarity ends.
Fibroblast plasma is a targeted resurfacing treatment. Cold plasma — delivered through our Ultra Cold Jet T33 — is a deep tissue stimulation treatment. One remodels the surface. The other rebuilds from within.
What Is Fibroblast Plasma?
Fibroblast plasma treatment works by creating a controlled micro-trauma to the skin's surface. A fine plasma arc contacts the skin, causing a tiny carbon crust (called a "carbon dot") at the treatment site. As that area heals, the skin tightens and contracts — this is what makes fibroblast ideal for skin laxity, fine lines, and loose tissue around the eyes, mouth, neck, and abdomen.
The "magic" is in the healing response. The trauma triggers fibroblast cells — the skin's collagen-producing cells — to proliferate and lay down new collagen and elastin. The result is genuine tissue tightening that improves over weeks and lasts for years with proper maintenance.

Fibroblast is best for:
Loose eyelid skin (non-surgical blepharoplasty)
Lip lines and lip flip
Nasolabial folds and marionette lines
Neck and décolleté tightening
Stretch marks and loose abdominal skin
Clients seeking visible, lasting structural change
What to expect: Carbon dots form and shed over 5 to 7 days. Social downtime is real — plan for it. Results continue building for 3 to 6 months post-treatment and can last 2 to 5 years.
What Is Cold Plasma (T33)?
The Ultra Cold Jet T33 is a high-voltage cold plasma device. Rather than creating a surface wound, it delivers a diffuse plasma energy field that penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin without breaking the surface. This is also great for anyone of color and or problems with skin issues. No real contraindications apply.
Cold plasma works through a different mechanism entirely — it generates reactive oxygen and nitrogen species that stimulate fibroblast activity, improve cellular function, accelerate collagen synthesis, and address vascular irregularities like redness and broken capillaries. It also has known antimicrobial properties, making it effective for acne-prone and congested skin.
Because there's no surface disruption, there's no social downtime in the same way. Redness and mild flushing after treatment are normal and typically resolve within hours to a few days.

What to expect: A series of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart for optimal results. Improvement builds gradually over 2 to 4 months as collagen remodels. No downtime comparable to fibroblast.
Side-by-Side Comparison
Fibroblast Surface micro-trauma, controlled wound healing, Deep energy delivery, cellular stimulation, Downtime 5 to 7 days (carbon dots). Healing period lasting for full results showing at 3 months.
T33 Results timeline 2 to 4 weeks interval. Sessions needed 2-6 (maintenance as needed)Series of 3 to 6 Best for Structural laxity, loose skin tightening, quality, maintenance. Treatment areas: Eyes, lips, neck, bodyFace, neck, décolleté, hands, body. Longevity of both is 2 to 5 years. Ongoing with maintenance.
Can You Combine Both?
Yes — and at Fibroplasma Beauty, this is often the most powerful approach. Fibroblast addresses the structural work. The T33 maintains and enhances results between sessions, supporting collagen production and overall skin quality at every stage.
Think of fibroblast as the renovation and the T33 as the investment in keeping everything beautifully preserved.
Which Is Right for You?
If you're ready for a visible transformation and can commit to a week of downtime, fibroblast may be your answer. If you want progressive tightening, skin quality improvements, and a no-downtime experience — or you're maintaining results from a previous fibroblast treatment — the T33 is an exceptional option and or needing a treatment suitable for all skin types as well.
